The press has been buzzing a lot recently about swine flu, bed bugs and even the resurgence of syphilis, but the one thing I didn’t see coming was the recent scabies scare at the Heeb office. A loveable but scruffy intern failed to mention until half way through the day that he was afflicted by the tiny burrowing skin parasites leaving us scrubbing, scratching and reapplying hand sanitizer.
But like all the neurotic Jews that I work with (yes, I am the lone Goy), I couldn’t help but lay in bed all night and wonder if I had done enough to disinfect my exposed areas.
