Method to Their Madness

Negotiations between the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) temporarily ended on Wednesday when AMPTP representatives walked, significantly lowering the probability that an agreement will be reached by June 30 (the date the union’s current pact expires).

An estimated 90 percent of SAG members are already preparing for their role in a possible strike, Stanislavski style, by being out of work.
