FBI Hopes Doll Name Blunder Will Lead to Fugitive’s Arrest

So apparently American Girl is making lemons into lemonade over this whole their-new-doll-shares-a-name-with-a-wanted-criminal-thing.

Beth Anne Steele, a rep for the FBI, told The New York Times, “Any publicity that gets the word out that our Rebecca Rubin is wanted on various charges is certainly beneficial."

So while you’re waiting on line for three hours in a throng of shrieking girls for your kid’s very own mini Rubin, keep an eye out for that sneaky arsonist. Here’s how you can tell the difference:

While Rebecca the Second has soft auburn hair, shining green eyes and a pleasant plasticine face, Rebecca Sr. has brown hair, hazel eyes and "light facial hair." Happy bounty hunting!
