The NRA is accused of using anti-Semitic imagery in its “portrayal of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as an octopus.”:http://wcbstv.com/local/local_story_108175220.html Even though the eight-tentacled sea creature has been used as a metaphor for “Jewish conspiracies”:http://www.amazon.com/Big-Book-Jewish-Conspiracies/dp/0312334397 throughout the ages, “NRA spokeswoman”:http://www.amny.com/news/local/wire/ny-bc-ny–nraoctopus0418apr18,0,163505.story?coll=sns-ap-investing-headlines Ashley Varner said possible parallels between the magazine cover and the historical context of the octopus were accidental.

I don’t whether to be more outraged about this potentially fueling antisemitism among the NRA riffraff or forcing me think of Mayor Mike when I’m trying to enjoy my calamari.

    Awesome article. I only wish that the picture attached didn’t work to reinforce every stereotype Americans already have about Arabs. I doubt even a single Arab-American woman mentioned in this article dresses like this shoe-fetish chick. Come on guys,
