Bone Up On Your Yiddish

We’ve been following “_The Business_”:http://ifc.com/series?aId=17962 since it premiered last year on IFC. The “scripted-improv hybrid” chronicles crass, smut peddler Vic Morgan’s (Rob deLeeuw, above, second from left) transformation into indie crass, film producer Vic Morgenstein. You see, Vic believes that converting to Judaism will be good for business and so the series repeatedly finds him spewing Yiddish, cruising for Jewish broads and returning to Rabbi Diamond’s office for platitudes (I mean “pearls”) of Semitic wisdom. We’re not yet sold on Season Two, but did get a chortle or two out of “this week’s episode”:http://ifc.bside.com/schedule/?_view=_filmdetails&filmId=29103265&timezone=America/New_York, which is being replayed tonight at 8 p.m. EDT. In it, sultry, film auteur Kiki de Charentais shows up at the headquarters of Vic’s Flicks, leaving an unrelenting trail of boners in her wake. Morgenstein, one of her casualties, makes an unsuprising beeline to a Jewish “singles luncheon mixer” in search of Semitic tail and finds…. Well, I won’t spoil the ending.

What do you think?
