Accidental $400 Tickets to Israel, Jews Go Nuts

You know the term “feeding frenzy”? It usually applies to rabid animals who, upon seeing some fresh meat, go absolutely bat shit crazy and attack like…well, like a wild animal. You know what else this term applies to? Jews who find out about cheap flights to Israel.

Earlier this week, El Al Airlines experienced a glitch in their system that caused $1,600 round-trip tickets to Israel to be priced at $400 on their website. $400 FOR A TRIP TO ISRAEL!!! You can imagine that all over the Upper West Side and Brooklyn us chosen were foaming at the mouth and pushing people out of their way in their haste to get to the nearest computer.

According to a New York Post article, at least 5,000 tickets were sold. People were buying them for their in-laws and grandparents and unborn children. People were probably buying them for  unborn children who hadn’t been conceived yet and then unscrewed the Manishewitz when they got home, lit some candles and did their best to fill that seat.

El Al Airlines hasn’t made it clear yet whether or not they will honor the accidentally marked down tickets, a mistake they attribute to a contractor. If they decide not to expect their offices to be set upon by a horde of angry Jews pelting their windows with gefitle fish.

What do you think?

What was the point of this post? Are Jews the only ones who get excited about cheap airline fares?

Just because you are Jewish, it doesn’t give you the right to perpetuate stereotypes.

Please don’t use the excuse “this was a humorous post” because it wasn’t.

“Just because you are Jewish, it doesn’t give you the right to perpetuate stereotypes.”

Wrong. Where the fuck do you think you are??

Additionally, everyone covered this story. They all thought it a story. Everyone. Go harass them. Tell them they have no right to report the story with such a frame.

It is a news story. And it was covered appropriately by the news media. But this post’s 1st paragraph and 2nd sentence in the 2nd paragraph were particularly offensive.

The post on benjilovitt.com was funny, by the way. Learn from it. And your query “where the fuck do you think you are” is answered by “Utah.” Don’t even start.

Oh, and you still don’t have the right to perpetuate stereotypes.

Not even close to being humorous. Heeb, this is just a dipshit rant. There is a big difference between covering a story and proliferating ridiculous stereotypes. Anyone with half a brain that wanted to travel anywhere inexpensively would have taken advantage of this glitch. It’s happened before – when technology breaks down, many people profit – not just bat shit crazy Jews. Tool.

The only thing offensive about this post is that it didn’t break in time for me to get such cheap tickets to Israel.

Larry, this was funny, because it’s a flight to Israel, specfically. G-d knows the one thing preventing a common biweekly trip is the huge amount of money it costs to go there!

Nah – this was not funny one bit.
It was a cheap stereotype – just like the Jew that wrote it.

I have consulted with the Elders of Zion, our chairman Adam Sandler had this to say, “If you are Jewish you can make fun of Jewish people on three conditions • It has to be funny • It is in good humor • You are not a self hating Jew.” This was funny, Jews pelting gefilte fish come on, take it easy.
