Fedorable?

Evidently, the fedora is back. A favorite of celebs like Britney Spears, Johnny Depp, and Al Capone, the fedora seems to be crowning the crowns of male and female alike. (Oddly enough, however, I’ve seen neither hide nor hair of the topper in Chicago—the home of the original stylish gangster).

Maybe it’s the resurgence of Indiana Jones that has brought about this top shelf trend, or maybe the parade of mitzvah tanks rolling through the avenues has had some kind of subliminal effect on the masses. After all, Orthodox Jews were rocking the fedora long before Britney needed one to cover her cueball.

    I have indeed spent time in Rogers Park– not in recent days though. However, I actually saw a fedora disappearing into the El tunnels today in the Loop, so maybe the trend is traveling.
