Paul McCartney to Convert

Paul McCartney, as everyone knows, has walked down the aisle for the third time, married Jewess #2 and thus corrected the error of his ways.  But while he and Nancy Shevell may not have walked down the chupah, Paul may be in line for another Jewish ceremony.  Word on the street is that he promised the missus he’d become a Member of the Tribe, and is preparing himself for the big day.  So the Big Question is, will Paul be getting a trim for his little mop top?

I don’t know about conversion but his wife is really pretty! I hope she treats him better than the wooden leg lady.

again I say, “walked down the chupah” why dont you ask someone what a chupah is before you write about it.

God, I hope not, for his sake. I’m proud to be Jewish but we really need to shed this barbaric practice of genital mutilation on our menfolk.

William – yes, that is correct — I suppose that is what the author was getting at with his comment “Paul be getting a trim for his little mop top”.

The author of the article suggests one can “walk down a chupah” How is that possible? Maybe if a gigantic storm comes and the chupah sails away in a violent wind, and finally falls to the ground and becomes a colorful rug…then perhaps one could walk on it.

But that wouldn’t be a very auspicious start to a marriage.

Actually, he is already circumcised. Lennon wasn’t, though. Why so much negativity Luek? Comments like yours make me not want to post anything because I don’t like being associated with people who make ugly statements. Please do some soul searching and consider who you think benefits from your hateful comments. You make the world a more miserable place with your spew. Congratulations.

Very well said, Ali! Blood rituals are a disturbing remnant of human and animal sacrifice (see Leonard Glick’s Marked in Your Flesh), and the right to bodily integrity starts at birth. I recommend to everyone Ronald Goldman’s Questioning Circumcision: A Jewish Perspective.

Whether pm has the cut or not..it’s no skin off my nose…..someone should warn him of the pain and consequences though….it took me two years to walk after mine….

Gary Carp, sorry about your experience. If he’s already circumcized, they draw three drops of blood. My son had this done because his bris was not kosher and he said it was no big deal. And as for Andrew K “the right to bodily integrity starts at birth” — last I looked Paul is an adult and can choose for himself.

Paul is on a journey. Baptised Catholic, then pagan and now back to the one true God. One more positive step back towords his Catholic roots! Yes, Catholicism is the fruit of Judaism and Jesus is the Messiah! Don’t assume you know the Catholic Church by Her detractors; read the saints and the Catechism of the Catholic Church for yourself.

    God bless!

I have a cousin that foolishly did the same thing many years ago. Not because he believed in Judaism, but rather just to satisfy his Jewish wife. They have been divorced for quite a few years and he doesn’t worship in Judaism or in the Catholic faith he was born into. If anyone converts from one religion to another without believing in it, that is pure foolishness.

Linda Eastman’s “original” last name was Epstein. I remember reading that her father was involved in his Reform temple.

These are two seasoned adults! If this is his promise to his current wife, more power to them! Paul, coming from liverpool, where he was exposed to Judaism by way of his original manager Epstein is not a stranger to our faith, so much nachas to the couple!

I always thought he was chosen. He’s the cutest man I ever saw, he’s talented beyond belief, he’s wealthy, he put Linda on a pedestal and is family oriented and was always close to his kids, he’s a vegetarian and advocates humane values towards animals and people. He brings love, peace and joy to the world, and weirdly enough, I always thought he seemed to have a soul of a moshiach, on some level. He’s sensible, down to earth, and kind. He’s the perfect man. If he converts, what a statement about the Jewish religion and what mazel for the Jewish people. I am a recent convert and a 25 year vegan. Paul is beautiful inside and out. It’s no coincidence millions of women wanted to marry Paul. He’s the best and the Jews should be proud. Thank you. G-D bless. Dawn of A New Era, the girl that loved him since she was three.

It does not matter whether he converts, nor whether he gets “circumcised”. The question for Paul is whether or not his heart has been circumcised. Let those who have ears…….

    1. “Walk down the Chupa” was a slip of the keypad; I know what a chupa is, having stood underneath my own.
    2. Back when I enlisted, one could enlist in the infantry for 2 years; ending up a puking buzzard was simply luck of the draw.

An interesting take to the legacy of the Beetles and his own creative life. I only hope that he is doing this for the right reasons. He seems to be not only creative, eloquent, and intelligent, but a reasoning person. So, I am sure that he has thought this through and not in haste.
