Going Postville

For those Heebonists hailing from the heartland and looking for something good to do this Sunday (by which we mean actual "good" as opposed to fun, exciting, or requiring a subsequent dose of antibiotics), check out the march for workers’ rights and immigration reform taking place in Postville, Iowa. Although Agriprocessors, the megalthic Mosaic meat monster, has promised a variety of reforms, it remains to be seen if they will actually be delivered. A veritable Social Justice League of activism, including the Windy City’s Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, has assembled to head to Postville and stick it to the man and make sure he keeps his word. Having abided by the Agriprocessors boycott when it was on, Jewdar is ever eager to ensure that we never have to go through that again, so we highly recommend that those who can, go, so that we can continue to clog our arteries in good conscience.
