It’s been a hundred years since the Chicago Cubs won the World Series–and four months since we boldly predicted (who says we don’t take important editorial stands?) that this would be the year the drought would end. With just over two months left in the 2008 baseball season, Chicago has the best record in the National League and the Wrigley faithful are yet again beginning to believe that the curses of the goat, black cat and Steve Bartman may be reversed.

Now watch Carlos Zambrano tear his rotator cuff this Sunday.
