News of actor Andrew Koenig’s (Richard “Boner” Stabone from Growing Pains and the son of Checkov from Star Trek) disappearance in Vancouver made our dicks shrink just a little.

I imagine his life was shocking as he left the cocoon of his sitcom lifestyle, and he had to make his way as a ‘serious’ actor. Perhaps he just wanted to be normal and be an adult and is now lost and finding his way. Any way you cut it, I will think tenderly of him and his family until there is more news. He may have just been the friend on Growing Pains to many of us, and the butt of many jokes past, present and future, but, to people who shared his kind of life, this story holds special difficulty and sadness."
