The next few hours are kind of a drunken whirlwind: “Sloan”:http://www.sloanmusic.com/ at the “Dollhouse”:http://www.dollhouse.com/-sponsored _Jane_ Party (“_Jane_ Magazine”:http://www.janemag.com/ had the best food of any SXSW showcases); “Japan Night” at Elyssium where “The 50 Kaitenz”:http://trig.com/the50kaitenz (means 50 rpms) made chop suey of the joint. (Apparently, “50” in Japanese is pronounced “go-jew,” which is how they’re referred to in Japan); and then, to see Keren Ann at “KCRW”:http://www.kcrw.com/ showcase at the Central Presbyterian Church (sitting in a pew just a few yards away from “Keren Ann”:http://www.kerenann.net/, I must admit, I had more than one un-holy thought)….
