Maxim Biller: Winner of the _Heeb_ Fake Holocaust Memoir Competition

In recent years, fake Holocaust memoirs seem to have become both more common and more crappy. While the rest of the world may have chosen to ignore this mass of lying lowlifes, Heeb couldn’t afford to remain silent, so we confronted this dangerous trend the only way we know how—with a self-aggrandizing and somewhat offensive publicity stunt.

And so the Heeb Magazine Fake Holocaust Memoir Competition was born. This past winter, we called upon you to fabricate your very own memoirs, and on April 1, we sifted through the entries—the good, the bad and the just plain bizarre. We were all set to decide which of the one-eyed men got to be king, until we came across an entry from Maxim Biller, who is, incidentally, one of the most famous writers in Germany.
