Possibly still smarting from that recent trip to Israel — where he was very publicly sucker-punched by the announcement of additional settlements in East Jerusalem — Vice-President Joe Biden cut loose at the Radio & TelevisionCorrespondents Dinner. In between jokes about Tiger Woods, Scott Brown and Rahm Emanuel’s naked shower fight, the VP cracked wise about Israel, which, considering the violent riots in Jerusalem, is in fantastic taste.

"I just got back from 5 days in the Middle East. I love to travel, but it’s great to be back to a place where a boom in housing construction is actually a good thing."

"You know, trying to negotiate a lasting peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians is tough, but it was a hell of a nice break from health care."

Ba-Dum-Bum!
