Heeb Hookups
It’s been almost a year since we produced our Heeb Hookups vid, which spoofed J-Date, Match.com and the desperate re-fashioning of the self that occurs nowadays in the effort to get some. Not to sound like a hacky comedian from the Chuckle Factory, but dating can be downright dispiriting these days, which makes it all the more spiriting (is that a word?) that two very special Heeb hookups were made at Heeb happenings. I speak of longtime music editor, Arye Dworken, who married Shana Warshawsky a little over a month ago and (this just in) Heeb director of business (and party czar) Adam Baruchowitz, who is set to wed Brett Blair. As the party czar’s Rasputin, I’m so excited that I can’t seem to stop making references to Russia.
