Babe: Pig in the City
Next Monday at the UN, a frightening figure who blends religious zealotry with grossly corrupt politcal demagoguery will be making a most unwelcome appearance at the UN. We speak, of course, of Sarah Palin, who will be given a role at a rally protesting against Best Dressed Anti-Semite of the Decade, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Now, much as we admire his wardrobe, we consider the Iranian prexy to be a fairly loathsome individual, and certainly wouldn’t stand in the way of anyone wishing to voice their disapproval. But what were Jewish muckety-mucks thinking by inviting the VP candidate of one party to speak at something like this? Have they forgotten that you can’t spell "rally" without "all?" Perhaps we should look on the bright side—the most prominent New York Republican right now is Vito Fossella, so they had to go all the way to Alaska to find a go-to GOPer. But still, even with the good news that now Hillary Clinton won’t be appearing, the organizers have completely ruined the demonstration for me. Maybe someone’s protesting the Bashir Assad somewhere…
